A New Chapter …

Alhamdulillaah. Upon the completion of Kitaabu`l-Hajj (Pilgrimage) on Wednesday 2nd of February, Ustaadh Fraz Farhat will now begin teaching Kitaabu`n-Nikaah (Marriage), inshaa`Allaah, commencing on the 9th of February at 8PM (next week).

Kitaabu`l-Buyoo’ (Business Transactions) will be postponed until (most likely) next year due to the vastness of the topic compared to Kitaabu`n-Nikaah.

Everyone is encouraged to attend the course. Ustaadh Fraz delivers the lessons in such a way that it is easy for anyone and everyone to understand, all the while maintaining the richness of the topic at hand.

For details of the venue click here.

… Also there are opportunities for asking questions relating to the topic at the end of each session.

Please pass on the message !

wa`s-salaamu ‘alaykum wa rahmatullaah

Listen to the classes LIVE on Paltalk, every Wednesday at 8PM, in the room ‘Lewisham Islamic Centre’. Download Paltalk for free and install it onto your PC. Questions may also be asked through Paltalk inshaa`Allaah.

1. umme - 3 February 2011

When will notes to kitaabun nikaah be put up… Ie will there be a long gap between the actual lesson and when it will be put up?

JazakAllaahu khayran

2. istislaam - 4 February 2011

wa ‘alaykumu`s-salaam wa rahmatullaah

If I can manage all the notes by the end of this Summer, then that’s when the Kitaabu`n-Nikaah notes will be up inshaa`Allaah

wAllaahu a’lam

BaarakAllaahu feek

3. Sister - 13 February 2011

Assalaamu ‘alaikum warahmatullaah

Quick question, erm.. how does PalTalk work?

4. istislaam - 13 February 2011

wa ‘alaykumu`s-salaam wa rahmatullaah

Paltalk is an online chatroom, and any individual may form their own room and invite others to come listen to what they have to say. Visitors (each with their unique username) to the room can communicate either by speaking through their headset or by typing. It’s a bit like msn, but more public and more people can join into the convo. It’s usually used for debating etc.

Download paltalk installation file using this link: http://www.paltalk.com/download.php

2) Install it onto your computer

3) After installation is complete, and you logged on, click on ‘Actions’, then ‘Join a Chatroom’.

– Here you can either search for the chatroom by typing in ‘Lewisham Islamic Centre’ in the top-left corner or manually look for it under ‘Religion and Spirituality’ , then ‘Islam’.

– The Lewisham chatroom will only be visible when the class is going on, so do step 3 at around 8.30PM Wednesday or a few minutes later to access the room. Otherwise a message will pop up saying ‘room does not exist’ … the class starts around 8.30ish.

After you enter the chatroom, turn on the speaker to listen … and questions may be taken through writing … wAllaahu a’lam

If you need any further help installing etc. leave a message.

To listen, do step 3 ^

6. Sister - 14 February 2011

JazakAllaahu khayran

7. Sister - 17 February 2011

Assalaamu ‘alaikum warahmatullaahi wabarakatuh

So is there any classes current running at LIC that I can listen in through Paltalk?

8. istislaam - 17 February 2011

wa ‘alaykumu`s-salaam wa rahmatullaahi wa barakaatuh

There has been mention of a temporary replacement for the Wednesday class (same time) for the time being, presumably on Marriage or could be something else. Check in same time next Wednesday on Paltalk to see if it happens.

Seeratu`n-Nabee, sallAllaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, by Imaam Abu Hanifah,

    Fridays, 7PM

Usool ath-Thalaathah, by Imaam Abu Hanifah,

    Saturdays, 7PM

Check in around those times, both should be on Paltalk inshaa`Allaah but I’m not entirely sure.

Imaam Abu Hanifah has been studying in Egypt for some number of years now, and currently learning Shar’eeah at al-Azhar University. His Seerah class is really good and the same can be presumed about the Usool ath-Thalaathah class.

9. istislaam - 18 February 2011

… also every Thursday Shaikh Dimashqiah comes online on Paltalk at 9PM (or he used to before) in the room ‘Dimashqiah Debates and Lectures’
